Applications for the Official Selection and the Narrative Game Sale
are now open and will close on Sunday June 28.
About the event
LudoNarraCon is a digital convention celebrating narrative video games, hosted on Steam. An initiative of indie label Fellow Traveller, it aims to create a platform to showcase and celebrate interesting and innovative narrative games, replicating as many of the aspects and benefits of the physical convention experience as possible within a digital format.
Instead of its historical spot in April or May, this year we’re holding LNC from October 8-12 to give us some time to work on an exciting new project to help shine a spotlight on narrative games in a new way - the Story-Rich Showcase.
Official Selection
Approximately 50 games will be chosen for the Official Selection, the beating heart of the festival. We’re looking for the most interesting and exciting story-rich games from diverse teams from all over the world.
The Official Selection is open to games that have either released since the last event (May 2025) or are expected to release in the next couple of years.
Released games are required to run a discount from October 8 - 15 and are encouraged to make a demo available.
Unreleased games are required to have a public demo available during the event.
The Narrative Game Sale
The sale takes place from October 8 - 15 and will feature between around 150 - 200 games. The only requirements to apply besides being an awesome story-rich game are that your game must be discounted for the sales period of October 8 -15.
Curation process and timeline
Curation for the Official Selection and the Narrative Game Sale will take place during July and we expect to let all applicants know the outcome of our decisions by the end of July.
Please note that we typically receive over 500 applications for the Official Selection and so less than one in ten will be successful. Whilst we are able to accept more games for the Narrative Game Sale, not all applicants for the sale will be accepted.
A note on panels
LudoNarraCon features two days of narrative-focused content streaming to Steam and YouTube and then available on demand via YouTube. The schedule is traditionally a mix of content that we organise directly and panel discussions submitted by the community.
For the 2026 edition we are going to take a break from panel discussions and will focus on fireside chats and demo streams that we will organise directly. As such we are not putting out a call for panel submissions at this time.
